Horizontal Flow Wrapping

Flow Wrap Machines

As packaging film is unwound, an electrostatic charge is generated on the surface of the film which causes the film to stick and wrap around rollers. An anti-static bar will neutralise the surface charge. Rubber draw-rollers create friction thus static causing the film to cling to the vacuum belt. A gentle stream of ionised air in the cutting section will neutralise static and prevent the film to stick. The wrapping bars follow over the product, towing the tail end of the film under the line and completely wrapping the product. The tail end clings to the film sheet and the product cannot be packed properly, causing costly machine stops. A long range anti-static bar placed over the wrapping bars will keep the tail end from sticking against the film.

Device Used: P-Sh-N anti-static bar
