Everfeed is proud to announce that Marcus
Koh, was recently designated an "ESD
Certified Professional - Program Manager"
status by the Electrostatic Discharge
Association (ESDA) intended to
professionally certify individuals who are
involved in designing, implementing,
managing, auditing ESD control programs in
their facilities and the ability to have a
thorough knowledge of the core competencies
of ESD control.
Marcus Koh is also one of the first seven
individuals to achieve this certification
upon successful completion of the
association's Program Manager Certification
exam, held at the 2006 EOS/ESD Symposium in
Tucson, Arizona.
The courses cover topics such as ESD basics,
ESD program development & assessment, ESD
auditing and evaluation, air ionization,
packaging principles, device technology,
electrostatic calculations, clean room
considerations, and more. All applicants are
required to pass an eight hour final exam
consisting of multiple choice and essay
questions. Once certified, individuals are
required to take additional classes to
maintain certification.
With this Program Manager Certification,
Marcus now have a better understanding of
the intricacies of ESD and thereby assist
customers with educational seminars, ESD
programs development, and electrostatic
measurement methods, to enable problem
identification and related solutions in ESD-sensitive
environments.
This beneficial certification not only raise
the overall competence of the entire ESD
control field, but it serves as a means to
assess the qualifications of Everfeed
personnel in static control practices and
ensures that Everfeed have well-equipped,
knowledgeable, trained and qualified
personnel to solve every ESD control
problems.
ESD management is important in a large range
of applications such as hard disk drives,
electronic assemblies, semiconductors and
other electrostatic-sensitive environments
and applications. Other applications that
could benefit from ESD measurement and
management tools include electrostatic
painting/coating, test & measurement,
instrumentation, quality control, powder
handling (chemical, pharmaceutical, ceramic
and other materials), materials evaluation,
medical/biomedical devices, military,
automotive, aerospace, and R&D applications.
Everfeed Technology demonstrates its
commitment to the ESD marketplace and to the
pursuit of information and knowledge that
will assist and achieve customer’s
satisfaction by supporting its employees
such as Marcus to obtain this
certification.. In this regard, Everfeed
aims to propel more of its employees
towards ESDA professional certification in
the near future.

ESD Control certification is suitable for
engineers and technicians whose training and
experience primarily focused on problems,
engineering design and corrective measures
associated with minimizing or eliminating
ESD. The ESD certification program is
administered by iNARTE in conjunction with
the ESD Association.
iNARTE, (NAR-tee) is an independent, non
profit association which provides
certification to qualifying individuals in
the fields of Telecommunications, Unlicensed
Wireless Systems Installation,
Electromagnetic Compatibility/Interference,
Electrostatic Discharge Control., and
Product Safety.
iNARTE (The National Association of Radio
and Telecommunications Engineers), Inc. was
founded as a non-profit
membership/certification organization in
1982. With the advent of deregulation and
the Federal Communications Commission
"encouragement" for private industry to
establish certification standards to fill
the licensing void, iNARTE initiated and
developed a comprehensive certification
program for telecommunications engineers and
technicians.
The iNARTE certification process is
intensive and rigorous to ensure certified
individuals proved that they have the
discipline and initiative to go the extra
mile to progress further in the field.
